4 About Us
What: A running group for learning the basics of training and racing for all levels of runners. This is a free of cost running group, and we provide Gatorade and water after each run. We run in rain or shine, as well as cold or heat- but we will wait for a storm to pass. If there is lighting, we will not run.
Who: New or former runners who want to try the sport in a safe and guided environment or those who want to get back into shape after an extended “hiatus.” All you need is running attire- appropriate for the weather- and yourself!
When: Every Monday at 6:00 PM beginning April 4 and running (no pun intended) through October. Curt Hoegh will provide a 15 min speech before the run begins.
Where: Campbell Park in Clive – east of 128th Street between University and Hickman. Meet at the shelter. [Google Map]
Why: To have fun, meet other runners, and learn the basics of running while preparing for any of the many area races such as Dam to Dam, Clive Running Festival, Midnight Madness, Capital Pursuit, Living History Farms, and more.
Cost: Free – hard to beat that!
